Parliament has specifically set compliance guidelines for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) from industrial sources like manufacturing facilities. In addition to their harmful effects on plants and trees, VOCs and HAPs are known to cause respiratory ailments, heart conditions, birth defects, nervous system damage and cancer in humans.

      Often times, these hydrocarbon-based pollutants are best destroyed through the use of thermal and catalytic oxidiser systems. The abatement devices use temperature, residence time and turbulence to break apart the hazardous compounds, converting them to carbon dioxide (CO2), water vapor (H2O) and heat.

    • Most industrial processes require some sort of tempered air to manufacture their finished goods. This could include systems such as product dryers, paint lines, curing ovens or coating lines. In most cases the manufacturer is not only heating air for these process machines but also the make-up air required to maintain a positive pressure in the facility.

      With greenhouse gas (GHG) and global warming concerns, plants need to be mindful of their energy usage as it pertains to the above mentioned systems.
